RESOURCE ROOM

            GOOD NEWS!  We received the Teacher’s Manuals for the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th grades in the new reading series.  This will help tremendously for the students that come to the Resource Room.  We have also received the vocabulary flash cards for each of these grades also.  This saves hours of work to make them.  Having all

of  these materials gives much more practice in learning the skills and many more ideas to present.  The students are responding very well.

            Thank you to all have helped make this possible including Mr. Weiss, donations from many and the help of the company.

            We will be writing about “ Why we like to go to our Catholic Schools.”  One of ours was chosen for the Register last year.  We will also be making Valentines for the Care Center, South Haven, and some close Parishioners.  We have done this in the past and they really mean a lot to all of them.

            Sr. Ann Divis, one of our Marian Sisters has volunteered her time every other Monday to help organize the worksheets and the keys to them by putting them in three ring binders.  Our students also read to her.  They all have a big smile on their face when she walks in.  She has had to miss for a few weeks, but we hope she will be able to return soon. 

            Our electric pencil sharpener  fell off the desk recently and is slowly dying.  If anyone would have even a used one, we would make good use of it.  Thank you for all of the Prayers, food items, candy and other useful items at Christmas.  Individual thank you’s are still coming.
